Q1: What advantage is there in using a secure e-mail box provided by
CareerLookout?
A1:
Employers may elect to use a secure e-mail box for each position being
advertised. Using a secure e-mail box helps Employers to:
- provide
secure and limited access (i.e. Personnel Department) as authorized
by the Employer, to resumes received
- eliminates resumes
going to a general e-mail address of the Employer’s
organization
- avoids the blending of resumes received for multiple positions that
are being advertised by the Employer at the same time
- serves as a
historical record of resumes received for reporting and tracking
purposes.
Q2: Can the Employer receive a Compact Disk (CD) of all of the resumes?
A2:Yes. Following the closing date, the Employer
may obtain a CD of resumes received only if a secure e-mail box is
used. This service, provided by the staff of CareerLookout.com requires
a waiver by the Employer allowing CareerLookout or their authorized
agents access to the resumes. Nominal fee applies--$25.
Q3:
How long are resumes retained on the secure e-mail box?
A3: CareerLookout retains resumes for a period
of sixty (60) days from the closing date. It is the responsibility
of the Employer to keep the appropriate documentation in their organization's
files for future reference. The Employer’s Authorized Agent will
be notified thirty (30) days before resumes will be deleted from the
CareerLookout system. Options provided by CareerLookout (supplemental
fee applies) to retain this information by the Employer include maintaining
the information either by (1) Compact Disk (CD); (2) hard copy (single
sided) master or (3) alphabetized copy(s) in a 3-ring binder. Refer
to Question #2 and Question #3 above for more details.
Q4:
We are now using CareerLookout in various departments throughout
our organization. Are we entitled to any discounted rates?
A4:
Yes. An annual fee will incorporate savings vs. paying for individually
placed ads throughout the year. A member of CareerLookout staff will
evaluate your organization’s collective postings on this website
and contact you regarding the potential cost-savings. Click

A7: CareerLookout has an exclusive arrangement with an executive search

- conduct telephone
interviews;
- conduct personal
interviews;
- perform reference
checks; and
- process other verifications (education verification, credit check,
DMV check, civil and criminal litigation search, wants and warrants)
